Group Discussion Tips:
Before start up of discussion: (may be say 2 minutes time for prep)
1. First, Observe the Topic with you and prioritize your ideas.
2. Try to remember the recent events according to the topic.
For Example :The Topic is “India’s Obstacles for Development”, then you must co relate the topic with recent News Like the CWG,2G and a Bunch of Scams and remedies for the Problems.
3. Now, you have Ideas and recent updates about Topic, and then you are ready for starting the Discussion.
At Start of GD:
1. Being a Starter of Group Discussion is really leaves a Good Impression.
2. But, if you are not more clear about your topic means better first listen what others discuss and then start your views.So, Getting the ideas and views from your co competitors is also a key to your success. And I also strongly admit here. That the Person nearby you is your real competitor, so you must win him by your skill.So, be selfish :) at sometimes.
3. Speaking with clarity of Thought is the real key for your sure success.So, be more clear and speak with no flaws.
Group Discussion: Guiding the Topic:
1. This the Most Important Part of GD.Because, some GD Sessions may go without relevance to the Topic.So, Sticking on to the Topic is the Real Expectation. So you must speak according and closely related to the Topic. If the Discussion is routed in that way by you, then it’s your plus point.Since, you made the people to speak on the right point of view.So, you have the capability to handle the things in right way with almost clarity.
2. .Be a Good Listener and also be a good speaker. If you are interpreting when someone is speaking, then it shows your inpatience.Which gives a negative impression on you. And the Discussion may end up with Frustration.So, Listen and then react.
3. Don’t wait for your turn. This may seems completely opposite to my previous point.But,Unfortunately this is also true, because you must raise your voice with Proper way.Like,sayin,”Excuse me, I want to add some more points in this moment with what Mr. A Said”.
4. This is the Moment.So, put up your Full Potential to express your thoughts in Gentle Way.
At the End of GD:
1. .Collecting the Points and expressing with solution is the conclusion of every discussion.So, try to catch the opportunity to wind up the Discussion with Solution.
DONT’S:
1. Dont Argue with anyone.Just Express your Views.
2. Dont express your thought Physically.Like, Punching the Table for some Strong Points.
DO’S:
1. Confidence with Clarity is your key to success.
2. Never give up the Opportunity to others, when you have turn to speak.
